I've been using it since 1998 on 3 of my mx-3's and never had any cracks. Infact it prevents cracking cause it lubricates the vinyl and prevents it from drying and cracking in teh sun!!

Yes, such a blantant accusation against such a well established product is suspicious.
I don't think we need to be Einstiens to work out why he made such an outlandish accusation. Wonder if this site will let it stand?

Their bottle of Cleaning Wipes says "Cleans Dash, Vinyl & Fabric", so I sure hope it doesn't hurt Vinyl.
I use their stuff and it works great. It cleans up spots, stains & dirt instantly and leaves a nice finish.

Hoodzy, you've heard Armorall cracks vinyl too? Who were these "quite a few people"? Give us the proof. Your gonna have to put up now mate with such an accusation.
Armorall serves millions of people every day and you're saying it does the EXACT OPPOSITE of what its meant to??? It actually wrecks your car? Put Armorall on vinyl and it will crack?
Oh please. What crap.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a sec. I'm not making the accusation. I actually read it in this forum somewhere while browsing through some older threads. I searched for it last night but couldn't find it, so that's why I asked this question. I love using this stuff but, I jus t wanted to make sure that they were wrong.
I actually experimented using Armor All "fierce shine" tire spray on my interior because the regular stuff didn't quite shine the interior as well as I liked and it shines my tires like glass. I know some of you might laugh but, it darkened the black of everything (interior) so deep and shined it like the regular stuff never did before. Almost two months later, it's still dark as I've ever had it. I hope to find this old thread to show you that it isn't me making these accusations.

I have heard this cracking statement as well. From what I recall it has to do with the alcohol content in Armorall. Contiunous use helps prevent cracking. When used once and then not again for quite sometime it supposedly dries out the material you protect it with. I would reccomend either 303 protectant or a product from turtle wax called finish 2001.

Most reputable shops wont use it. it wont crack vinyl after a few applications, I mean dont expect it to crack vinyl like in a month. It WILL though after a while using it. What it does is it raises vinyl protectants/oils that are in vinyl to the top and dries out vinyl over the time. This causes vinyl to crack. Been working for body shops and any experienced body shop guy will tell you armor all is crap.
