What are the differences between the base model and the ultimate?

Ulitmate has autotune w/ WBo2 sensor, You can ditch the MAF/AFM/VAF and replace it with a map, and it just has better tunability.

The basic Blue, is the basic. It doesn't have the 2 really cool features, doesn't controll as much, but still a fairly good system.

Are these piggybacks or replacements?

piggyback i just installed an ultimate on a turbo miata , i usually dont touch piggybacks but honesty one of the best options i've seen out there but if your goin big jsut save a few hundred more and get a microtech
