heres a fun thread
everyone list all their custom mods theyve done to their mx-3s
(custom as in things you have done yourself not something you had someone else do for you ie. no custom bodykit work from some company know ones ever heard of.. that is unless you fibreglassed and did everythig yourself)
use pics if u want to show everyone your work
this way we can each offer each other advice
and maybe even come up with new unique and cheap ways of modding our mx-3s

heres mine

- did custom tail light work that i saw on some site
where you take a piece of vynal n wrap your tail lights in it
then cut out some holes to let your brake lights shine through
doesnt look to bad

- also did a brake light conversion from an old 12" streetglow red led tube
n hooked it up so that the center brake light is now led

- recently painted my calipers red

- even installed all the subs n amps myself, no blown woofers or electrical fires haha
so i might be able to offer some advice

I can trully say my mx3 is the ONLY mx3 in existence with a PINK CHAMELEON carbon fiber hood. Only mx3 in my city to have projectors hmm only mx3 in my city to have kf and only mx3 with the worst luck ever. Um only mx3 with blue and pink chameleon paint. changes to diff shades of blue and purple with depending the time of day

custom carbon fiber wraped heat shield air intake, under glow, fog lights, audio syatem ( hot rodded one of my old amps can now handle a 1ohm load at 500w rms used to only do 150w max @4 ohm stable) led and neon lights through out the interior, custom 2" thunder bolt exhaust with removed resonators and cats (i don't care about emmissions i have my ways around them) 5 point racing harness, and the best mod ever done on any mx 3 FLAT BLACK SPRAY PAINTED HUB CAPS !!!!!!!!!!! lol

i wanna see ur brake lights

90mm dual Hella projectors (the mod I'm most proud of)
straight neck intake ZE manifold kept on the ZE
soon to have custom interior- seat covers, door inserts, stained dash (made by myself)
fiberglass hatch cover (made by hand by me)
soon to have a custom aluminum radiator shroud (hand bent by me)
soon to have custom guage faces- made to look exacty like the MS Miata (made by me) this is a tricky one though and I'm not sure I will like the outcome and may trash them...

I also work on too many projects at once and am easily sidetracked.

i like that mod, my tail light never looked better, thnxs for that!
i took pics with my camera phone of my tail lights tonight but its too dark to see anything
ill take better pics tomorrow when i get off work earlier
but you can see that they are leds


3 12" rockfords, 2 alpine amps, alpine headunit totaling 2000 watts of power!
(switchin to type rs in the summer) subs barely fit in the hatch though,
angles perfectly with the glass.. just need my tint so no popo pull me over lol

it broke so i took it apart and decided to reuse the parts
