I have as of right now a KL-ZE with the k8 intake manifold and k8 ecu, shouldn’t my car be able to run with the ZE ecu?..... I tried it and their was no success

Which fuel injectors are you running?

the ones from the k8

Probably not since the injectors are different. Also are you running EGR? If so you have to use the K8.

OK there are several problems here.
1) You have a K8 intake manifold that has 180cc injectors, and the ZE ECU is tuned for 220cc injectors. That right there will be a problem.
2) You have a K8 intake manifold, Y would u wanna run the KLZE ECU? The VRIS points are completely off, and will only make the car even more sluggish that it already is.
3) The only time to run a KLZE ECU is when u have a Straight neck KLZE Manifold. And about 98% of people on here don't have that inatke manifold on their cars.

what ze ecu are you trying to run ?
guys maybe he swap his rails onto the k8 intake. That shouldn't be too bad.

what about the curve neck ZE IM?
Well the curve neck manifold requires, I think, a KL-47/67 ECU, but it cannot be used because that original curve neck ZE uses a MAF.
The VRIS of a curve neck manifold is closest to the US KL ECU VRIS points, so your best bet would be to get that ECU and VAF. OR get the VRIS to open and close at the correct points via MSD window switches, or another way.

whats the diff. between a VAF & MAF?

Well they look totally different, but do the same thing pretty much.
They both meter the air coming in, and send it back to the ECU. But the way they measure the air, and the calibration they are set up with are totally different.
Not to mention i believe the clip that clips on is different and also might be more than the normal 4 wires on our clips to the VAF.

OK. I just got my curve neck ZE IM in the mail. Now what ecu will work the best and should i run a MAF or a VAF?...as of now i only have the k8 MAF.
Thanks

just run your stock k8 VAF and the ZE ecu since you already have it. The vris ponits will be off a bit, but still will run good
