Sounds dumb at 1st, I know. But.. I can get a great deal on the Magnacor wires for the 4. Do they match up with the length of any of the V6 wires? Will the boot work?

you seriously have to be kidding... they will not match up since you have to worry about 6 cyl instead of 4....

better idea... buy two sets of four... splice in the extra two wires to make up the length you would need to get to the back 3 cyls.

For anyone else who assumes that I rode the short bus I would use two more wires for the other cyls.

I looked at many websites that sell them, and in all of the pics, the 4 & 6 cyl wires look exactly the same, except two less. Same plug boot and disty elbows. They also appear to be the same length. Also, I looked at pics of the 4 cyl engine, but of course, can't see the silicone boot. Please give me a yes, or no & maybe why. If you don't understand the question, please ask.

On the V6, the front and rear boots are completely different. The rear ones are a few inches longer to clear the intake manifold before shooting to the side. The few inches also gives you some boot to grab to remove the plug wires from each plug. Without which, you'd need to remove the intake manifold every time you wanted to replace the plugs.

I'd say, no they won't fit. Not to mention the rear plug wires are much longer than the front ones, so you probably won't be able to reach back there anyways. Screw Magnacor anyways. It's a ripoff and it's not going to do anything for us.

I am not assuming anything... I know you did....

Which V6 wires were you looking at..? The wires in my setup(929 wire) are longer then the wires for the 1.8. As mentioned... the boots will not work for the rear...
Many times they just have a generic picture to show different wire set. And do not show the actual product being sold. I look at a box of NGKs that I have and they have 5 different boot designs in the picture.

Curious... what is the cost for the V-6 wires? what is your cost for the 2 sets 4 cyl wires?

It's too bad people allow their insecurity to cause them to berate someone they don't know. It'd be great if forums were not cluttered with that kind of nonsense.
Just for the sake of information, if they would work, I would have gotten a brand new 6 wire set of Magnacor (actually read the post before you ask questions, Precidian) wires for a little over half price.

As a possible alternative to NGK wires, have you looked at Probe Sport wires? You'd order the ones for the 93-94 MX6 V6, and reroute the wires. But they're 8mm thick, and come in myriads color options. They're not SUPER low resistance, but they're lower resistance than NGK. But still high enough to not interfere with radio reception. They start at $90 a set for the V6.

Yes I did read your post.... but your first initial post did not clearly give the information that you were requesting... a little vague.

Before posting ... I would recommend doing a search and checking the FAQs. The answers will have been answered more then once on the board...

That's not what I searched, though. I searched pics of plug wires, and plug wires in general. Even though misspelled, The other guy would not have needed to post the last comment if he read the original post.
