Can anyone confirm that the code for a 94 4 Cyl DOHC ATX is
Ford F-4EAT / Mazda F4A-EL
If its not the right one - what is the actual code?
I am looking for a rebuild kit for a friend and i need those codes. Thanks for the help.

Thanks a lot tunes.
The 95 manual says F4A-EL - but we got a little confused because its the same code for B6 and K8 - but they obviously have different bell housing. Maybe they have the same internals and a similar rebuild kit.

Honestly.. I couldnt find it in my shop manual.. but I did find where to look on the tranny housing to see the stamped code. This would allow for a more positive identification of the trans anyway. You will find the code on top of the trans just back from the edge of the bell housing where it meets the engine block. You will likely have to remove your air box and flex hose to see it completely. Also.. I did another ATX fluid purge and filter replacement on my RS today.. and took many pics.. I will be doing a complete write up soon on how to do a ATX filter change and how to install a tranny pan drain plug kit. Likely you already know this stuff.. but should be good for newbies
Cheers
