Ok so tis is what we did..used flat blue and pink chamelon..was suposed to be pearl but my uncle messed it up(the order) When we were done the hood was not matching the car ew so we sanded it down, resprayed clear coat tiwh chamelon mixture and came out nice. Dude at the paint store told us NOT to mix a flat color with chameleon thjat we needed pink pearl.. uncle missunderstood and well it looks nice to me. In the shade it looks flat blue and reflection i pink

Im VERY happy with results..i still need new rims and a rear lip and maybe a gs wing. New civic headlights arrive this week. I am SO not done with this car. Plans is spray interior with same kind of paint..dash pillars and headliner.
Cost
Materials including paint, primer, clear coat, chamelon mixture, sandpapers, thinner, rags = 80 dllrs
Labor 200 dllrs
Down time 1 week

the paint itself is pretty easy nothing special. All you do is prep it for normal paint, spray flat blue. Get clear coat.. and mix it with 2 tablespoons of chamelon pink powder. The reason why rarely anyone has these paint jobs is because we are told that chameleon does not match with flat coors, that u gotta use a metallic color. This color came out of mistake. I wanted blue with pink pearl. Uncle does not know what pearl is LOL (mexico) and used pink chameleon powder. Next car we are doing will be a strong red with gold chameleon something like pear.

Hey neat color , Did you guys wetsand and buff after the clear the one side pick looks orange peely ? Maybe its just me though, As for the red paint idea we did viper red with HOK gold flake and it looked pretty sweet .
Keep up the good work
As for the rear bumper a easy fix would be to pick up a set of rear mudguards it should blend the kit a little better

I wonder who told you that... I have kinda grown up around body shops and I think the best paint job still is flat white with a green or blue chameleon dust. At night and in the shade it looks just white, then throw it in the sun and BAM! totally different. My uncle has the 92-93 Harley Color Changing paint with Rainbow chameleon dust on his 442 and it is probably the kewlest paint job ever...
Clean ride. Personally don't care for the off purple color that creates but it looks very very clean.
