Did your 92-93 MX's come with Auto Seat belts for both years as well?

No auto seatbelts here, however, I believe Trevor *had* them.

No the Auto seatbelts did not meet Transport Canada safety specs for retaining the passenger in an accident. Ford was the only company the had the auto belts is cars sold in Canada and only in the Escort Tracer and Probe until '92

LOL You misunderstand me guys.. my GS has these crappy things and I want the seat belts that should be there instead.. Since the canadien 92-93 cars had normal seat belts.. I am figuring that one of those parts cars in canada should have what I need to convert my car to manual belts

i have a 92-93 parts car. i'll have to get back to you on the condition of them though because i never really paid much attention to them. give me a couple days. they're yours if you want them.

You rock Ovendenk!!! That would make one of my projects far simpler to achieve

No real hurry on them though.. This car is going no where till it gets at least a new front fender and likely a tranny swap. I am getting either a code 6 or a code 60 from the TCM.. if its a code 60.. its not a good thing LOL But thats cool cause I was planning to do a MTX swap in anyway

Cheers

I've been looking for some manual belts too if someone else has a set. However, I want the plastic trim pieces that go just behind the drivers head where the seatbelt comes out from the car. It has a slot for the belt that the US auto belt models don't have since our shoulder portion attaches to the rail that it slides on. Also the lower portion for the same thing. Our lap belts come from the center consol and the manual belts the acutal belt pulls from the lower half of the plastic trim just behind the driver. (either that or it pulls from the shoulder part. I've never seen a 94 apart)

Good point Pat.. Likely I will need the interior trim pieces as well. I could open up my 94 and take some pics for you some time.. I was planning to use it as a model on how to reconstruct the same thing in my 92 once the autogay belts are removed.
