Here are some pics of the port and polish job on my turbo JSpec MX3 that I have talked about in previous posts. More pics are coming but just wanted to show you what has been done so far and get some feedback.

Hoping to get everything finished up within the next week or two and get the car back up and running.

The guy who is doing the port and polish work is someone who works on a lot of racing and track cars here on the island. He is quite experienced in this area and I am anxious to see the difference once the car is back up.

Right now we have ported and polished the engine head, intake manifold and exhaust manifold.

This is the first MX3 engine that he has worked on and is quite keen on seeing the results.

Yeah I ported my B6 head for practice... and now have moved on to porting my BP head. Check out the work, doing it myself... at work.

Updated the page again with some pics of my modified IHI-VJ11 turbo, anyone noticed some of the differences between it and a normal VJ-11 from the pictures?

Well folks, I got back the car and took it for a drive, I have boost controller currently disconnected and it is running about 7psi instead of the normal 10psi that I run. It feels about the same at lower rpms, mid range feels a bit stronger, high rpms damn! .

The car feels just as good or more powerful at 7psi with the rebuilt head than it felt at 10psi with the old setup. Cant wait to turn back up the boost to 10psi and see how it goes.
