Engine rocks back and forth

Post by Angel »

I just noted that my engine rocks back and forth when I change gears ...I think something thats keeping it in place might have broken which could be the reason the car shakes quite a bit when the engine is running. Anybody know what might be broken and if I should have it checked out?

Thanks joey, thats it ...should I worry about it? I think one in the front is broken and one in the backside is cracked.

Well i would chage them..it might be harder on the axels and you will lose some torque. because the engine is moving more then it should be!!!

Where do you live and what engine do you have...i have some extra mounts for cheap!!!

You can check to see if anyone makes solid steel mounts. I have some in my 3000GT VR4 and they're great. No engine movement at all.

Make sure they're not just loose. Mine were loose and I bought new mounts with out realizing it. Luckily it was the wrong mount so I didn't instal it before seeing the bolt on the mount was just loose.
