New ATX but where from?

Hi All,
I've decided I need a new transmission (symptoms below) and whilst I'd like to go manual, I haven't got the facilities for a swap so I want to pick up a 2nd hand transmission from somewhere. From reading the forum here, it seems that some fords have the same unit - and this would be easier for me to find since automatics are a bit rare in the uk. Can anyone give me a diffinative list of which fords have the same unit? (Mine is a '92 1.6l.) And is this just a very simple swap?

Symptoms:
Between 25-30 mph the transmission jerks in and out of gear (I think this is the trying to change from 2nd to 3rd). Lots of slippage, particularly in 3rd gear. (I can hold it at 2500rpm whilst it speeds up from about 30 - 42mph (then it changes up at this rpm). And finally when changing up at higher rpm sometimes the transmission drops into neutral and then this gear is gone until I stop and put it into park.
