Welp..I decided today when I got into my car and see those ugly a-- read panels and the material no longer tight to it, it was time to do something. After seeing Jeff's red MX-3 with the red fiberglassed panels with the two 6.5 kickers in each one, I decided to do something similar.

However, I will be using 300 watt 8" subs on each side and will be reshaping the inner portion to fit these subs. They are aluminum dual voice coil and they sound pretty good for what they are.

I got like a gallon of resin, some tape and razor blades, what sand paper should I use to get it super smooth ? like 800 grit ? I want it as smooth as glass =) or there abouts lol.

from my experience, i would suggest starting low then moving up to about 800 then your gunna have to use some body filler to fill it in and use the same process for sand smooth because fiberglass is very hard to get smooth. good luck and take your time

Great little diy guide to fiberglassing sub enclosures.

Hope it helps a bit.
