If you already have some intake, streight exhaust system, spark, ignition... done to your mx3, would the apex-i s-afc be a good way to tune the car? dont you also have to buy a A/F gauge? but do also have to buy a EGT gauge?

Um you wont need an safc for a intake/exhaust/Ignition upgrade.
Waste of money unless you plan on much more serious upgrades in the future.

Very true...

The only thing you can do with these is adjust fuel which the computer is allready adjusting for via the mass air flow meter. More air through an intake- computer compensates with more fuel. Other than the other fancy features (rpm, etc.), it's really not a great option in your case.

I thought you would be able to add just a little more fuel to the engine without making it rich to add more hp.

What would be some good upgrades for the mx3 not counting the expensive turbo or super-charger?

adding more fuel would decrease horsepower because the factory ECU runs the car slightly rich anyways. only other good options for more power without going turbo is to swap engines.

so really there isnt much you can do just cold air intake, exhaust, and some other little things without spending alot like a turbo or engine swap.
How much would it cost to do the whole turbo kit ( engine management, fuel, spark...)
