Hi
I'm fixing my sister's car, she bought a use set of rear struts a--. from a junkyard the two struts dont come from the same car one from a mazda 3 96 and the other mrom a mx3 94. i've read about spring rates and
heres my question:
two springs are not exactly identical. they are the same size and in height, but at the end, one is ''enrolled'' 3 times on itseslf the other just two times. can i install them? or the difference is to important. were not looking for performance...just low cost repair...
hope you understand well ''ENROLLED'' since im french i dont know another way to explain it.
thanks

"2 springs same size but one is "enrolled" more"
the one enrolled more is a (progessivly) winded spring compared to the other which is just "normal" i would not use them get a pair of the same kind both "enrolled" or both "norma" i might be wrong correct me if i am but i think i am close "progessive=enrolled" springs are more sporty so your choice your money
hope this helps
