I have a 94 4cly mx3. When I was at a stop light it , the idle started stumbling and then it died. I tried starting and it did not fire right up. after repeating it did start enough to get off road. I took to the dealer and they keep adding on to the bill and I simply took it back into my possession. They put on a new fuel filter and said it still stumbles and would have to keep it over night. Then they said it needed new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. And said that should fix the problem. I did that my own with mazda parts and its still in the same position it was $250 dollars before. When I was driving it home from the dealer, it would would let me stumblely get to 50 mph and then when after a few seconds , the RPMs would steadily drop down to 350 rpms and then jump back up and then down again and die. While coasting I would put in nutreal and try getting it to start and then start the same senerio again. I dont want to replace everything under the hood to solve a potential 1 part problem. Any ideas??

have u received any cel codes? check engine light?

follow the steps in faq to retreive the codes yourself, then post the results.

is your car overheating? check the gauge?

I'm guessing it's the temperature sensor that is not hooked up to the guage in your car. (There are two temp sensors)

pull the codes first and we will help u

The car was running normal temps, and the check engine light is not comeing on. The dealer stated there were no codes to pull.

I have a Car that runs! I have a car that runs!

It turns out it was the distributor causing all the slow motions! Thanks for the replys on this , it runs soo smooth and fires up on first click!
