Speedometer stopped

Can the speedometer cable be replaced? i assume that its the speedometer cable, anyone have any comments

i had the same problem with mine make sure it didnt come out of the back of your speedometer then check the drive gear in the tranny itself. the drive gear broke on mine it was a pita to fix cause it fell in the tranny its a $37 part from a mazda dealership. good luck

Thanks I'll try the dash first, then ill check the other, if that does not work, when i get my new clutch in.
