Ford Probe Header.

Hi. I read that some of you guys replace the stock header for a ford Probe header. My question was: Do you have to modify it a lot??? Because i've read on http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/552384/6
that he had to heat up just round the bend so it wouldn't hit anything. What does there have to be changed to attach it to the rest of the exhaust, or is it just a bolt on (and I don't mean to attach it to the block, just the rest of the exhaust). What is an rough estimate of hp/torque gain?
And will the exhaust make a nice sound.
I've read in the workshop manual, that right after the exhaust manifold a warm up for the katalysor is. What does this do, and can it be missed from the car.
Can the Lambda probe just put on the probe header???
My last question is: Can i keep on driving with my katalysor, or doesn't it fit anymore after the mounting of the probe header??
