EGR problem..went to mazda

ok my car doesnt idle well at all..brought it to mazda..and its the EGR.. I guess its the EGR thats in the exhaust system though? or something.

its a 510$ part from them..and 4 hours labour at $80 a pop...along with $80 for a tube ( i guess for the exhaust)

how hard is this part to change out on your own?..im not talking about the solinoids or anything. Should I just scrap the engine?

I'd just disconnect the egr if i were you. You'll get a code but it should run fine.

we unplugged the ones under the throttle body, are these the wrong ones? or something completely different..when we did that it had no effect and still stalled.

sent a PM, I need help locating this thing you guys are talking about.. obviously the one near the throttlebody isnt doing anything :(

The siliniods under the TB control lthe EGR, but there are several other parts, including the EGR itself. I'd recomend taking it off, but you'll need a block-off plate from a ZE and a EGR plug in the exhaust manifold.
