Ok so I posted awhile back that I have two mx-3's.. one doesnt idle right, the othe burns oil pretty bad.

My question is this.. is there anything I can do for around $6-8000 canadian to get the car reliable, but also fast?. I'd like atleast 200hp if possible. If I were to get a new engine i'd want a rebuilt one or something. Keep in mind im in ontario so I dont know where to start for rebuilts. Whats the cheapest turbo you can get?

Or should I give up and get something like a late 80's 5.0 mustang i'd rather not though..they are soo ugly

where do I start.. first things first, I want a body kit..wheres a good place to look? preferably a polyurethane/rubber type kit..not fiberglass..but will do fiberglass if needed.

second of all, whats a good place for REBUILT engines in ontario/canada?. Im guessing the ZE or DE?. How much is Turbo kit? probably alot of money..so that might have to wait.

im not new..and seriously the search is almost useless, ive tried tons of different combos and nothing turns up.

you mean every person asks where to buy rebuilt engines in ontario, where to get poly body kits..and a good place to get paint done in ontario/ottawa..DAMN am I really that common?

oh sorry should i have put engine first ? would have it made a difference keep in mind all this is being done AT ONCE bodykit/engine AND PAINT

anyone have any dealings with japan autoparts out of toronto are they any good? im pretty sure they sell rebuilt engines..

Do the motor first, then body after thats my 2 cents. Are your cars v6's or 4 bangers?

If v6's then do a ZE swap, there are many shops in ontario <www.enginelandinc.com> that sell these engines and a few install them <a-spec> If you do the work yourself you will save a ton of cash....

I looked at http://www.enginelandinc.com, I knew about them before but im looking for a rebuilt engine, not a low KM one. Since really I have no clue who to trust these days

The engine/body kit and paint would all be done within a week of eachother. If need be though I will do just the engine first and wait abit, but i really dont need to.

most likely you are not going to find a place that sells rebuilt ze's. So what you do is buy a ze and a rebuild kit and find a reputable mechanic to rebuild it for you, or you could do it yourself.

Also there is not point in doing a full rebuild on the engine unless it needs to be. Most people just replace all gaskets, belts, and the water pump and they are good to go.

hmm i suppose, anyone know why engine land has one for 1050 or 1500? when it comes with the same items?...plus i'd still need to find a ECU.

someone once told me not to trust engine land , but i mean i've heard bad things about everyplace

edit: found out its because of the tranny....god.. $1900 USD without the ECU for a used engine

I've dealt with engineland before, it wasn't the greatest experience, they sent the wrong ecu <vg30det instead of sr20det>, then I shipped it back and they lost it... and claimed they never recieved it.

So if your dealing with them strictly long distance i wouldn't recommend but seeing as your are somewhat nearby you could physically inspect the motor before purchasing, and most motor places will give you a deal if your standing there in person with cash. I'm not sure if their prices are US or not but 1050 CAD is pretty good, I wouldn't pay anymore then $1100 CAD tax in.

If your going to go the rebuild route then I would get a DE for dirt cheap and go forced induction..... it would end up costing a little more but you'd have way more power in the end.
