TPS problem, new ones didn't help

I finally finished my BPT swap after one year filled with nothing but problems.
Now I have one last problem. My motor wont stay running with the tps pluged in, it just revs up and down randomly and has little to no throttle response and then stalls when the rpm falls too low.
When I unplug it it runs great. Revs great and sounds powerful but it sometimes runs rich and other times runs lean.
Is it really neccessary to have the TPS or not really? I have tried three different TPS's(one that came with the motor, one from another BPT and a new one from mazda) and none work.

Yup sounds like adjustment. They are pretty sensitive.

If it runs great without it, and crappy with it... just unplug the damn thing so it runs right!

No seriously- you may have reversed polarity of the wires or something if you did any re-wiring or splicing.
