I was wondering if any body out there has tried fabercating a new back hatch. If so how did it turn out. I was thinking of doing this myself. kinda extending the roof and having the trunk flatend out.

No one but a full fiberglass bodied dragster has done it to date. It has been brought up ALOT though. I'd try a search and see what you come up with.

No..there was the del sol hatch conversion.

Basically there is a kit out there, where you remove your rear glass and then it goes to a flat back with small window like a del sol.

Have a look around and you can find it. But it is not easy to do, and it is not a fully replacement hatch, simple a glass removal and replacement.

i tried it, with my limited knowledge of body work. I completely a-- raped the hatch and it leaked all over my amps.
