Power loss at 140km/h

So I was driving down the highway today just cruisin' when all of a sudden my car lost almost all power and went from 140 to 110 almost instantly. So I pulled over, shut the car off for 5 min and it drove fine after.
Any ideas would be a great help

went from 140 to 110 instantly......wtf.....did you hita strong gust of wind or sumthing : P.

...and your sure you didn't run into the back of another car going 110?

140 mph
......may that chip (cant believe i fotgot then name) when u go to fast in your car it shuts down for a little bit and feels like u hit something ebcause u drop in spead so fast

thats ike the speed governor on the KL36 ECU's... drops you off from 180KMH

Uhm..the speed was in KPH.
So no way the limited would be cutting in unless you are in 4th at that speed. and even then 4th should have room to about 160.
