ok so in my ford escort i have my pioneer deck and i'd have to turn it to about 13 and it would have my speakers basically where i wanted to have them the loudest

and then in my mx-3 i have the alpine deck only needed to go to about 10 to have my speakers maxed out to where i'd like them

so i put the pioneer into the mx-3 and i have to turn it to like 30 to get them decently loud

so how can i make it so it only has to go to 13 to be loud like wtf???? i'm so lost ahha

Buy an amp.

I believe it's because of your decks and speakers rms power ratings. It could be possible that your Alpine is giving out more power.

Could it be that your Pioneer volume goes to 50, while your Alpine volume only goes to 20? Having different positions on your volume is ok.

My Pioneer was the same way! Just play with the adjustments a lil. If that don't work turn it up. I daily drive with mine set at 36! So go figure!

When I got my MX-3 it came with a alpine deck in it. I am like ok cool a new deck hell ya. Not only was the sound quality bad and sounded like crap. The bastard deck would not play any of my burned cd. My girl friends alpine did the same thing. So i said F.U. alpine and got my eclipse out of my old car and now it sounds like some angel's singing in my car.

an amp will solve that solution. Domestic fords, and even gms use a factory stock built in amp. the wires in the dash go to an onboard amplifier (nothing huge) and then to the speakers, which is why you didn't have to turn it up so much in the ford as you do in the mazda..
