The 4 banger has a shorter linkage by an inch or so. Other than that they look exactly the same so be careful about which one you get.

gee thanks moron!
i was implying if anyone knows for sre that BP05/G series shiftlinkage is different from the B6e/KLde linkage. i was asking for reasurence that i HAVE to get the V6 linkage. if i can get away with using my stock protege/escort linkage that would be money saved for me.
theres no need for the attitude

Well damn, genious... you got the same answer from two people saying that the 4-cyl linkage is a different part and length than a 6-cyl one.
If you are going to use a 4-cyl motor & tranny, then use the 4-cyl linkage. If you are going to use a 6-cyl motor & tranny, then use the 6-cyl linkage.
We have comapred then side by side and there IS a noticeable difference in length.
So-- YES, YOU HAVE TO GET THE V6 LINKAGE.
That makes three seperate people who are telling you the same thing.
Are you reassured enough now??
