Hey all,
I'm the new owner of an Eunos 30X ... and it comes with a dash speaker. I'm getting a new head unit (Pioneer 5 series) put in, and i'm wondering if there is any way i can still make use of the dash speaker?
If i'm not mistaken, the pioneer only comes with 4 outputs, and 2 for the sub.

Keep bumpin your thread up til someone answers. Not a lot of Eunos owners here but there's a few that should be familiar with it. Unfortunately I'm not aware of the dash spkr being on any of the MX-3's sold in Morth America so can't help.

I would love a center channel speaker like they have on the right-hand-drive Mx-3's...I've always wondered it it was possible to invert it (modifications required of course)

not true i can. ok the only things i need to know are 1. do you already have two speakers in the door and tow in the hatch. 2. the dash speaker is it stock if so can you see what colour the wires are?
ok get back to me with these answers and i'll help walk you through wireing it in as a mono center channel it's not hard you just have to test a few wires frist to make sure you have the front speaker leads and not the rear. One more question are you going to use a factory harness adaptor plug because it will make life a lot easier

ok so here is the wiring codes for your car minus center speaker ( i guess its a factory stero upgrade)
Constant 12V+ Blue/Red
Switched 12V+ Blue/White
Ground n/a
Illumination Red/Black
Dimmer n/a
Antenna Driver's Pillar
Front Speakers 5 1/4" Doors
Left Front (+) Blue
Left Front (-) Blue/White
Right Front (+) Blue/Red
Right Front (-) Blue/Yellow
Rear Speakers 5 1/4" Shock Tower
Left Rear (+) Blue/White
Left Rear (-) Blue/Green
Right Rear (+) Blue/Red
Right Rear (-) Blue/Green
ok so all you have to do ( assuming your using a harness adaptor) is take the positive wire from the dash speaker and conecet to the front right positive lead from the head units harness and then conect the negitive lead to the front left negitive lead. now you have created a mono center chanel just make sure that you have the positive and negitive wire right if not you'll notice a lost in you bass area up front if so just switch around the wires and that will solve the problem.
Now if your not using the harness adaptor (which plugs in to your factory plug for all of you that are just looking at this post) then you just ave to do everything the same just make sure you wire the right speaker to the right wire. easy way to test take a 9v battery and place the assumed wires over positive and one to negitive and listen for the speaker to pop
(don't worry you wont hurt the speaker)
alright so i'm finished now so if you have any problems just pm me or e-mail me what ever is easier for you and i'll see if i can make anything clearer or help out
