Check in the online shop manual for adjusting the TPS. Here is a how to on Testing the TPS.
Testing TPS
1. detach connector from TPS
2. connect an ohmmeter between the bottom pin (IDL) and the middle pin (E)
3. insert a 0.004 in. (0.1mm) feeler gauge between the throttle stop screw and the stop lever
4. Verify there is continuity between terminals
5. put in a 0.039 in. (1.0mm) feeler gauge, and make sure there is no continuity between the terminals
6. Then open up the throttle wide open and verify there is no continuity again.
7. Next connect the ohmmeter between the top pin (POW) and the middle pin (E)
8. insert a 0.004 in. (0.1mm) feeler gauge between the throttle stop screw and the stop lever
9. verify there is no continuity between the terminals
10. put in a 0.039 in. (1.0mm) feeler gauge, and make sure there is no continuity between the terminals
11. then open up the throttle wide open and verify there is continuity between the termials.
12. If this is not true with your TPS then adjust the sensor (has two screws, then you can rotate the TPS), or the throttle cable.
Also.. here are a couple of links to threads that have more information.

Wire Colour & Purpose
P = +5V reference from PCME
Y = TPS position signal to PCME
BR = TPS idle switch
BK/DB = sensor ground
-----
TPS Adjustment:
1. Ground the TEN pin in the DIAGNOSTIC box and start the engine. Turn off all loads (A/C, rear defogger, blower etc). Make sure the engine is hot.
2. If necessary, adjust the throttle stop screw so that the idle reads 650 +/- 25RPM.
3. Shut off the engine.
4. Turn on the ignition and check the voltage at the Y wire. If necessary, adjust the TPS sensor to get about 0.8V. This is the "gross" TPS adjustment. Turn off the ignition.
5. Disconnect the TPS harness. Use an ohmmeter or testlight and measure the continuity between the BR and BK/DB pins on the sensor. Place a 0.006" feeler gauge between the thottle arm and the stop screw.
6. If necessary, rotate the sensor until continuity is seen on the switch. Once seen, tighten the sensor back down.
7. Insert a 0.020" gauge in place of the 0.006" unit and check there is no continuity on the idle switch. If there is, go back to step 5 and repeat the adjustment.
8. Re-connect the harness and once again check the TPS voltage at the Y wire. Make sure it falls in the range from 0.2V to 1.1V. If it does, you're done. If not, re-start the adjustment procedure.

usually the easiest way...
Jump Gnd to TEN in Diag box.
is to loosten the TPS, turn it untill the fan kicks on, then slightly turn it till it kicks off.
if its on turn it until the fan just kicks off.
Then adjust your idle screw.

aha.... hmm now its too late to try again but i noticed the fan kicked in only when i've disconnected the power to the tps.
Also i've cleaned my Throttle body today. Have pics will put em on soon. That thing was really DIRTY.

I did this today, and no fan kicked on. It did click somewhere in the IM, though, and I used that as a reference, and it idles better now.
Question: Is there something wrong with my fan switch? My car runs cool, if anything but normal.

Here are the proper specs for the K8: TPS Adjust (mechanical)
Engine off.
Detach TPS connector.
Wire Colour & Purpose
P= +5V reference
Y= TPS position signal to ECU
BR= TPS idle switch
BK/DB= sensor ground
Connect ohmeter to 2 bottom pins (BR and BK/DB) and you should get continuity. If not, loosen 2 TPS retaining bolts and rotate until continuity has just barely been achieved. Semi tighten 2 TPS bolts.
Insert .006" (0.15mm) feeler gauge between the throttle stop screw and throttle lever. This should not break the continuity. If it does break continuity, slightly adjust TPS rotation again to regain the continuity. Insert the gauge in and out a few times to verify.
After confirming continuity with 0.15mm feeler gauge, insert a .020" (.50mm) feeler gauge. This should just barely break continuity but completely. If not re-adjust TPS rotation again. Re-confirm by re-inserting feeler gauge.
In essence, continuity on initial connection to TPS.
Continuity with .15mm gauge inserted.
No continuity with .50mm gauge inserted.
Tighten down TPS retaining bolts.
Re-connect TPS connector.

Using the above method every engine I've done ran much better after wards and the warmup sequence was bang on

I don't have any feelings.. I mean feelers. I'll find some and try it. I just abhor tedium.. But that's what it'll take.

I did it, I did it nine times!
She runs mucho better with the supplied directions. thanks! The ZE machine is getting better and better!
