I'm not sure of the right connection for checking engine code.
Could please confirm that :
- TEN should be connected to GND
- and the 12v lamp or LED between FEN and GND

Thanks

U use Gnd to TEN, then check the blinks on your Check engine light when the key is in the "ON" position.

I believe you may can use a test light as well from TEN to GND, just gonan be difficult to turn the key ON then run back to check the lights. Easier to check the CEL.

On my european MX3 (france) there is unfortunely no CEL. So I assume I have to connect directly a lamp in the diagnostic connector, burt I'm not sure where to connect it : between FEN and GND ?

I believe that you have a similar situation as those that have done the ZE swap and are using the KL31/KL36 ECU. The CEL indication is not available and must be accessed via the diag box. I need to know the exact information also since I recently installed a KL31 ECU. I vaguely remember hearing about utilizing an LED with an inline resistor and jump across 2 terminals in the diag box. I'm not sure of which diag box terminals or the values of the resistor/LED. Good question Eric.
