GRM to do an MX-3 Feature

Post by TsiMiata »

In the latest Grass Roots Motorsports (http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com) They had an article about choosing a project car. A sub-article in there was 10 Sleeper Project cars. In that was mentioned the Ford ZX2. I emailed them saying the MX-3 was pretty muc hthe sme car with lots more hop-up potentional for less money. Here is their email back-

Thanks for the note, and yes, the MX-3 V6 is cool. So cool, in fact, that we have a full feature planned on them.

As excited as I am to hear them writing about a V6 Mx-3, i think the i4's deserve half the mention as well, especially with the possible power outputs after a B6 or BP swap

You would always asked them to mention that the Mx-3 has been overlooked in video games...Maybe, just maybe, that article will give a kick in the butt to developpers to realise that this car has some marketing potential ;)

THey did a full feature on the first gen protege a coupel years back. was a decent article. Talked about teh s--- you could do to run in STS and be damn competitive.

They'll prolly talk about that sorta thing for the MX3 too. I dunno if they'll mention the engine swap capabilities since that puts the car into SM where it woudlnt' compete for s---

The MOCA guys will be in it. The writer approached us last year to help out with some technical info and to proofread the article & stuff.

I have the pre-press version on my HD.

Pretty sweet... the guys have been looking forward to it for almost a year now. It has been pushed back several times now!

BTW-- I took all the pictures in the article!

I'll be in Solo 1 this year. My car's been classified into GT1 with the ZE. I think I'll have a good run at the championship. The look on the guys face when I told him that my swapped motor had 190+ stock HP was priceless! It's a potent little track car.
