Can anyone out there in candy land, tell me how to get my strut bar to fit on my ms8 intake manifold without grinding down the intake manifold itself??
I got the ractive strut bar.... Anyone know how to help make this fit?

jschrauwen has done it with that bar. It seems to involve a small bit of filing down the bar and changing a bolt for a lower profile one on the manifold. I think...
It's probably best to ask him.

Right you are Maz.
Evan, Evan, Evan!! You must have missed my post from a couple of days ago on this exact thing. Were talking the same strut bar and perhaps the same IM. The top cap on the IM has 3 x 6mm bolts. The upper most one that comes in close contact to the strut bar - replace it with a 6mm button top (rounded) allen head bolt (which can be moderately ground down slightly). I also ground a very small hollow into the strut bar for clearance. If that doesn't work or if you're reluctant to groove the bar, than equally shim the mounting plates on the strut tower with appropriate washers (10mm I think). A combination or all 3 should do the trick. Another option to gain slight height is to readjust the bar slightly off centre. Good luck Evan.

alternatively you can get a strut bar that you can adjust the angle of the curve so it sits curved behind the manifold closer to the firewall and still works....
aka gabis old one.

The Ractive bar does have a slight adjustment to be rotated forward or backward.
