it's been talked about plenty, it seems that it won't physically fit (too high), someone is bound to do it one day though

i have heard the kj would fit apparently the firewall has to be moved back, and it has clearance issues with the bonnet....and also only automatic transmission bolts up...
im going to check the local wreckers and measure the kj against the ze
and will post up the results...

An after-market hood could probably solve that issue, you think?

There is four problems.
The height
the width since both the left and right I/C are bolted to the valve covers and the necessary ducting to the right I/C requires a large amount of space for the volume of air needed to pass through the I/C.
This a Miller Cycle and not a Otto Cycle S/C set up which mean increasing boost is a no-no.
There is a waiting list for these engines. There are so many people with cars with the KJ-S looking for theses engines either because they tried to play with the pulley ratios and blew the engine or just because the S/C setup is a maintanence nigthmare on the engines. Talking to several in the industry and JDM engine importers there is a high number of S/C needs need to be rebuilt some where between 100000 & 180000 km
