i have a 94 GS and the transmition is about to go. i was wondering if anyone knows how much a standerd tranny would cost. the car is an auto now but i want to switch it over when the transmition goes. any help would be awsome.

I just checked out a couple of wreckers out in the western canada region. Most of em put up a manual transmission for around $700. With about 170,000km on em.

I think the best bet would be to check ebay, post on the mx-3.com in the buy section, that you want a manual tranny.

you can also use the tranny from a probe gt or mx-6 with teh 2.5

Which is still a chunk. Trannies should be cheap

AtlantaMX3 did the auto to manual tranny swap. He posted a lot of stuff regarding what to do, and he has a cardomain site somewhere too. Search around for some of his info.
