who has put a 2.5 auto tranny in

who has put a 2.5 tranny into their car from a probe or 6, did anything have to be changed, ive searched and asked for help but keep getting different stories, did the auto tranny unit need to be changed, any rewiring, thanks, im dropping in the klze motor with tranny, kl36 ecu, and might get a kl32 auto tranny control module but if i dont need it i dont want to spend another 100 buck.

I am currently working on the same project as you, putting in a KLZE engine and the AT that came with it. I am now told that mounts dont line up, but im going to check that out and probably have my friend weld some crappy ones to hold it in. The wiring seems much different and it scares me.....so right now im just going with it and I'll have to see what happens. Keep in touch, maybe we can help each other out.

are the mounts and control units different between the klze's tranny and the k8's tranny? what was so impossible?

none of the mounts lined up, differnt size mounts, plug in top was different with more wires, just seemed like too much trouble. not impossible but more work than i wanted, plus i was planning on doing the mtx swap so it wasnt worth it to me at the time.

So I see the 2.5L Probe ATX that comes with the KLZE had problems mounting.
How about the 2.5L Probe MTX?
