aftermarket torque converter

anyone know where i might purchase one? i've looked around and could only find one from levelten. any other places that sell these for our cars?

I believe there are places that would take your torque converter and beef it up. I remember looking at a web site that did this. I'll check around for you.<p>later,

i got a l-10 tranny installed last week, shifts harder, but i was looking for more durability than performance

The kits, if you guys are talking of what I think, are not universal. They usually consist of new/different gaskets/seals - specific to the tranny in hand. L10 is good stuff. What you heard is probably trashtalk. Also, try www.protorque.com (I believe that's the link) They do only TC's at the moment, but are $100 cheaper than L10, and I've read they are actually part of L10, as far as the actual internals of the TC's are concerned. That's not a fact yet that I know of though. BTW, you ALL need a transmission cooler. EVERYBODY in here, or with an ATX on any car, but especially the MX3's ATX. Get the one from B&M that is rated @ 19000GVW (gross vehical weight) Gonna see if we have a faq in here, after I finish replying to everybody, LOL. I plan on making a good contribution to this forum if we do not.
