Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone knows the date of the summer meet yet. I need to ask for the time off very soon and wanted to make sure I can go. Also is it going to be on a Saturday or Sunday? Thanks guys.

Nothing is official yet but I'd assume that it would be on the July 17th weekend. But don't quote me on that. Kevin has the final say.

The date I have penciled in right now is Saturday July 17/04 . That's why there's a members meeting this saturday to figure out the dates for our events. Hardly any one showed up for the last meeting. It would be nice to have more members show up to the meetings and contribute any ideas they have.

If I lived in Canada I would be there. Unfortunately I live about 12 hours away. I will see what I can do about coming up! Lots o new stuff on the car!!

Yeah, I know you would be at every meeting if you lived up here Jarid. That's commitment. Don't go out of your way to try to make it to saturday's memebers meeting. I don't expect all the members who lives out of town/province/country to make it out to the meet cause of the drive. It would be nice to see more local members attend.

I'd let you know what the final decision is on the date for the meet after the meeting. For sure it will be on a saturday.

I am 12 hours flight away from Vancouver.
And I can only drive a rental car to join.
Is that OK?

Anyone interested is invited. And as long as your rental is a Mazda, then you are definitely invited. Doubt that you are going to fly from HK just for the meet, but it would be cool. May be bring pictures of your MX.

A little off topic, but I was wondering if you guys are going to meet any other time after the Feb 21st , but before the Big one in JUly?

I was trying to get Vancouver Island people to get together a month ago or so, but there was no interest. I thought it would be good for us to get together because a trip to Vancouver requires more time and financial dedication. Me and Kev were trying to think up something before the July meet. Plus, Feb21st gathering might have yielded some ideas as well, but I do not know yet.

Now, as far as Van Island people, I can think of at least five or so owners that might be part of Island get together. Let's do it soon, it's already getting warm.

Actually the 10th & 11th of July weekend would be better for the Calgary crew. I don't know how that would interfere with everyone else.

Yes, everyone that owns a MX-3 is invited. Other Mazda owners are welcome to come by to check out our rides and to say hi. Come on by if your in town and bring some pics of your MX-3 with you.

Hey Derek,

Yes, there will be an event for March. MX-West member Brian will be organizing it. Once I find out the details, I will post them here and on our "Events Calendar" page.

We've settle on July 17th at the members meeting on saturday. Do you want me to set up a poll to see which weekend everyone would prefer.

Ouch... Do you really think I'm that conceited.

The reason I suggested that weekend is because a couple of members asked me to look into it. Either weekend is fine for me. If it's too much trouble then don't worry about it. The whole entire club shouldn't revolve their plans around two people.
