So, I spent all morning cleaning up the yellow lamps (with a great suggestion by SmokyMcGee) & putting on the Colgan custom. I think it looks tIte. I have to warn about bras on cars, personally I ususally think they look pretty good and stuff but they're also good at scratching the heck outta the front end of your car. Every car I've seen em on, they've collected small rocks and crud under them and scratched the front ends up worse than they were before they were put on. That being said, I'm going to wait till I have mondo chips and scratches up front before I install one. You know, i should have posted a before and afta pic. Some fool in a white van backed up into me last month and put a dent in the hood and left white scratches on the bumper. Can't tell anymore though.<BR>IM<BR>

I guess it is a matter of personal opinion. I "PERSONALLY", cannot stand car bras and bug guards. No offense to anyone who has them, this is just my personal opinion! Let me give you the reason why I dont like them. The truck I have now is very nice looking (show quality). I take pride in my vehicle and try very hard to keep is looking/working perfect. When I bought it (from a used car lot), it had an ugly black bug guard on the hood. I thought it looked stupid, so I took it off once I got the truck home. Once removed, there was a crunch in the front of the hood! Some bastard had put the bug guard on there to hide the dent. Needless to say, I was pissed off! I thought that I had a perfectly straight pickup and come to find out, I was wrong. This is the main reason why I do not like Bras and bug guards. On a side note, if you have some scratches that you wanted to cover up (depending on how big they are and where they are located), you might check into some vinyl graphics. We had a small scratch on the hood of our car when we bought it. When we had the racing stripes put on the car, we had the company print out a frog sticker and just like magic, the scratches are not visible any more! Just a suggestion. Once again, no offense to anyone who likes the bra, it is just a matter of personal preference.

Don't mean to bash you guys or your cars, but I think bras were meant for women and even that's pushing it. I just like the lines of the car to be clean with no distractions.<BR>just my opinion.

I have seen ads for a clear plastic film that you can put on your hood to help keep from getting chips from gravel and bugs. I have not talked to anyone who actually tried the stuff, but it is just a thought.

Im all for bra's. Livin in a real farm country, eather bra or paint chips. The black bra looks sweet on a white car. Great for protection agenst bug guts, the bugs hit bra insted of paint so they cant really hurt paint. I strongly disagree with people who buy bras to "hide" blemishs. When I Bought my mx, the guy said perferct condition. True for all car except under the bra. There were insane paint chips, and a long streek of gray paint in front of one of the headlights. I was a little upset but got ovber it cause it needed a new paint job (Florida car for 7 years, the sun does a little number on the paint).I also think Vinal graphpics are a good idea. Not to hide stuff, but they look damn cool. As for stones getting into the bras and doing more damage than good, if you have your bra on tight nothin shoul be able to get in, but i dunno.
