I have a problem. I got this friend in school, who has a 2002 Toyota corolla 1.8l VVti (that's what he told me) who want's to race with me. Now i'm not the type that's back down from a challenge. I'm the type that if a guy with a corvette says let's race, I start looking for the keys to my car. hahaha, that crazy. I really don't car to loose. I just want to know if anybody hear thinks I have a chance or not. His car is an automatic and my clutch is slippin. Now if I loose he's the type that will start braggin about, not like me if I win I stay quiet and humble. Please any info will help.

So there's no way I can win? Ok, now I raced against vw jetta 2.0L, and I won. Now does the jetta beat the corolla?

it doesn't make any sense to do a ZE swap on a 4cyl car. He would have more potential with a 4 cyl turbo swap... :p

This is gonna be really cheesy but it will give you a answer to your question in a wierd way..

using the quater mile caluclator from mazdamaniac.com ( http://www.mazdamaniac.com/q_mile_calculator.htm ) Punch in the weight of the car which can be found on http://www.cars.com and the horsepower.. then click the button and you have a vauge estimate that leaves out a lot of facotrs =]
be sure you add the wieght of the driver too
