Do you think that a 1.8 DOHC MX-3 could beat a Toyota Celica GT VTTI?

The owner of the Celica weighs over 300 lbs. Anyways it is not my MX-3. The Celica has a straiht pipe and a bodykit. That's it. The MX-3 has cold air, muffler, and high octane gas.<p>[ September 11, 2002: Message edited by: Magnaflow ]

I was about to say that too, you didn't have to mention a body kit, unless it makes the car more aerodynamic haha ;)

Most kits won't make a car aerodynamic, however they will add more weight. Depending upon how drastic the kit is, the combined weight of side skirts, a larger rear, and larger front spolier can add 20-50lbs. Plus, you'll see this on a lot of hondas, FWD cars will have a useless aluminum spoiler on the back that adds even more pounds.

Actually some body kits will add some downforce and make it more aerodynamical. But the most of the body kits put on cars do not provide any downforce and more than likely the are not pushing enough horsepower to need the use of downforce.
