well for the the last year I have been collecting parts for the klze motor(clutch, flywheel, hotshot headers,ms motor mounts and pulley).so meanwhile I have to race with my hyper 1.8v6 which for some reason gives pijamas to done up civic si's(not sir), jetta vr6, mazda protege5, celica gt, rsx(base)and now an 86 rx-7 wants to run with my 1.8v6. I know what you all are thinking but I am a superstar driver and his 7 is 160hp with exhaust and decent driver. All I have in my 1.8v6 is mobile 1 synthetic oil, cold air intake,2 1/4 cat back exhaust, sunoco 94 plus octane boost, no A/C, no back seats, no spare tire, custom short shifter, ground controls, tokicos with both front and rear strut and sway bars and p7000 to transfer the power. I have punched it with this 7 b4 and dominated him but it was at the speed limits. What do you all think? will I give pijamas to this 7 or not.

I know it is non turbo and I am more concerned about my 4th gear against his. I don't think he could take me right from the start but the second 1/8 mile is what makes me nervous against any 7. I am not racing for money so it will be interesting to see what happens. I have smoked a lot of mx-3s of my kind and I feel that I am one of the lucky mx-3 owners that have good performance from this 1.8v6. A lot of guys think I have the swap already so I go along with it but when I finally do have the swap there will be a suprise for those guys.

In my opinion 6700rpm is best to shift at to maximize power.

oh ya, I dynoed the car when I first bought it and at 6700rpm I had 114 whp and 103 pounds of torque. At 7000 I had 113 whp and 102. I don't care about my engine right now but I am trying to baby the tranny. <P>And yes these numbers are not 100% accurate but I dynoed the car 3 years ago and this is all I remembered. The car was bone stock at the time.
