Well I've mentioned a few times about the turbo set up on the way. Now I can say that it is no longer on the way... it has arrived. Now the only problem is that I still need to put the BP into the car. :p I have a few weeks off of school over the holidays, I'm hoping to finalize everything then. I still have pipes and brackets to build here... I'll have to either just tack it and take it to someone with a better welder or get some gas for my ****ty mig or the pipes are going to look like *** in comparison to the rest.

Anyways, a few quick details.... the manifold is stainless with radiused entry and exits. rebuilt T3/T4 turbo. Decided to stick with the internal wastegate and have a proper custom downpipe off the turbo to remove flow restrictions and still provide excellent boost control (boost controller when need be will be my old HKS EVC V). Everything uses mandrel bends schedule 40. You should be able to see in the pics how excessive the wastegate dump is. The intercooler is made from two cores put together. The beautiful thing here is the amount of work that has been put into the end tanks. Each core is split with a very gradual divider for better flow and efficiency.

The parts took a lot of time to build and I ended up going from around 14B quick spooling and 300hp, to the monster of t3t4 for more fun in the future when I have some money to build the bottom end.

All parts are from Turbine Tech in Quebec... minus the head work I did here.

The size of turbo I was originally thinking of going with for this year. Probably closer to the stock BPT turbo.

Thanks, I'm just picking up a few missing pieces to get it all ready to go. I forgot to post pics of the external oil cooler. Stock oil cooler puts heat right into the coolant system... taking it out means indirectly increasing radiator capacity. For future goals and road course it's more of a concern of mine.

How much was the manifold and downpipe? I am looking at getting one for the BP.

From what it seems he made them. Set up is looking good I cant wait to see what kind of numbers you pull.

I'm definetely more excited about the project now... I have to resist the urge to keep going one step farther until next year. I will only have enough fuel for around 300hp this year, and I plan to at least approach the limit there (hopefully on lower boost). I'll only be running 440s on a Megasquirt ECU and timing via stock computer. If I run into timing troubles while tuning that I can't resolve simply, I'll build a chip at my old shop RCTS in Calgary. Dyno, real time eeprom editing equipment, and we did an Escort with BP when I was there so the work figuring things out has already been done.

Given the work put into the manifold, it was just over $500CDN ($420usd). I don't particularly like the RAM style equal lengths, even for what I want (too much area). The dp was around $175CDN.

The shop does a lot of custom jobs so it kind of depends on what you are after. If you're going less extreme they can build some nice short runner non equal manifolds for just over $400CDN and depending on the requirements/turbo choice the dp can be $50CDN less.

I've seen a lot of stuff Jess(jardamuth) have done, he's the man!

His shop is 20min away from my house, never meet him personnaly, but saw some custom work from him and every customer seems to be really happy from the work he has done!

I saw 2 swift GT-turbo from him (one is my neighbour)
one civic turbo, and another bpt(he did only the intercooler and piping If my memory is good on that one! )

Thanks, I was doing a bit of work with Jess, but now I'm back home for good and doing more school. I was the English oppressor there in the summer you may have heard about. I will probably look for a real job come summer as opposed to 'playing' on cars like I've done the past few years. Have to start moving towards some company to get my certification, then who knows...

Your info sounds right to me, the most fun car down there was sadly a Camaro... although I'm sure guys here can't argue that two T3/T4s on an LS1 is fun....

I'll definetely keep up to date here and post some better info later on. I'm behind on getting some missing parts I need. I need to grab some pieces to put the engine back together, but I need to do some measurements before I order those pieces. I'm still hoping to get it done on my break here, otherwise all this stuff will sit for another 4 months.

I drove to just about everywhere within a 1 hour radius... definetely an interesting/beautiful region. Like you say, 20 minutes away... if you had stopped by in the summer, you would have experienced the english jokes I suppose.

Now I'm thinking I may not have time over the break to put it all on... these may sit on a shelf until summer.

Hey What...dig the header. I am a Calgarian myself...living in Edmonton...don't say it...I already feel the pain...I am very interested in your fabrication. What thickness tubing did you use? Did you do the fab or did the shop do it for you? What is the shop's nsme?

I am preparing to do a similar fab of my own as my manufacturing thesis next year. I would love to know everything you can tell me about the developement of this piece.
