INTAKE

Post by Jefe18 »

Ok, i put my intake on today, and i was wandering if the place i put it was ok. I took out the air box and all that crap. Then i got that plastic type flexible tubing, and just attathed that to the mass air flow sensor so i didnt have to mess with all that computer crap. Then the actual filter is like right below the coolant container, by the way, its a 93 mx-3,4cyl.5speed. And i wanted to know if thats an ok place for it cuz theres like a lil hole right infront of it, and im afraid that water might get in there and mess up mt engine, any help is appreciated.thanx

yea that location will be fine...I have an intake off of an integra gsr that is routed there..look at the parts off of the box that was down in the finder and there is a little scoop that attaches to the hole in the front of the cavity. it scoops air from under the car into that cavity...probably don't do a whole lot but will force a little cooler air into that finder area.. I plan to route a larger pipe to the filter and make a cover to seperate the filter from the engine bay.just don't go driving into deep puddles and you shoud be fine...........by deep I mean up to your bumper! :2thumbsup:
