well finally found my engine it took me a while but it was worth the wait i should have it in a couple of weeks. is the swap for the GTR the same for the GTX?

1,000 with i think it is the VJ 23 but not 100% possitive. but it should be. i could not believe it at first but yeah. what happened was some guys requested it from japan but could not pay for it so they cut me a better deal so they could get rid of the engine, he said he might be getting 2 more in march or may. 1 GTX and 1 GTR he also said he would cut me a deal on the tranny which i need to check with him tomorrow..<p> the swap is the same,right ashley?

oh yeah i forgot can i use the GTR ecu and reprogram it or do i have to use the mx-3 ecu

you can use the gt-r ecu but i'd call derrick at corksport to see what needs to be done to do so. you'll have to either use the gt-r ecu or swap to gtx injectors due to the fact that the gt-r injectors are low impedance and could cause a problem with the dohc mx ecu which is for high impedance(the injectors for the gt-r are orange). to double check, look at the turbo, but also look on the back of the intake manifold. there should be "BPC8" stamped on it. <p>ask him how much for the gt-r turbo and manifold? i'll give him the gtx turbo and mani if he wants.<p>what tranny are you getting?

it's the protege lx 5 spd with LSD i think
