WD-40, spray it down and see if that helps, If it's too rusted for that you'll have to replace the handle, shouldn't be too hard.

I have the same problem. I can sorta "feel" that there is a link that's broken (unlinked maybe) for my fuel door. Should it be too rusted to simply lift the carpet and relatch, how hard would it be to find a replacement and about how much should I expect to pay?

Mine is so hard to pull, and it stays up so I have to push it down afterwards! Same for the trunk. Just had my car in for rust removal, paid 1500$ (Norway = taxes), and forgot to mention this one, doh! :freak:

Ya the release for the two (trunk and gas lid) are in a terrible spot. Water, your feet and everything else gets in em.

I installed a power trunk release for my rear hatch, and am going to do the same for my gas release. Then I am going to get rid of the pull leavers. Then everything will be on my remote, kinda pimp.......

I thought i was the only unlucky *** that had this problem lol. If i need to open my gass tank, i just pull the trunk realease now (which is a bit easier)...and that pulls up the gas tank leaver too lol. Then i just have to remember to close my trunk.

i just sprayed mine with something like WD40 and sat there for a good 10 minutes pulling it up and down and trying to seperate the 2 latches from coming up @ the same time. I honestly have no problems now whatsoever. Before I fixed it, i couldn't even pull it up, I had to use this roll of electrical tape to help me yank it up. Pretty sad huh?

But now since I used that lube stuff it works great. Maybe try that first....assuming you haven't already!

Yeah mine does the same. I can pull the handle but nothing happens. The little rod that slides in and out to hold the door shut doesn't come out. So I just pry it out with a key. No big deal. Like a manual release without the ugly handle. But since I just got done spending two weeks painting my car I prolly should figure something out.
