here's a quick things I know are ticketable:
blue or red lights in the front of the vehicle(got a $100 dollar ticket for having those red washer sprayer LED's)
undercar kits that are on while driving
not suppose to have any cover on your licence plate (but clear ones don't seem to get noticed)
must have white light shining on rear licence plate(almost got $75 dollar ticket for red licence plate lights)
but here's some links to some Ontario Laws
it's for the
Ontario Highway Traffic Act
Here's the whole thing. If you scroll down - under the section equipment there should be something about lighting
http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/DBLaws/Statutes/English/90h08_e.htm
word.

In the UK
As for lighting,
Only white light from the front of the car.
Only Red from the rear and only orange from the sides.
However they dont mention anything about a glow created on the floor from neons, So sometimes you can get away with having them on, as long as the bulbs are not seen from either side your car. But some police ask you to turn them off.
