not that ive done this, take the gauges out and apart. the speedo will unscrew from the rear, pull it out. then you will have to cut or melt the plastic that holds the numbers, these are little clips on each end. then just spin.

One of the biggest percentages of a cars resale value is it's mileage. i only have 87000 miles on it now i could still get good money for it. the cluster i have has 147,000 on it thats almost double man.

Its not as easy as you think it will be. Once you get the whole thing that surround it apart, you have to get all the locks off (there is a lock for each roller) and then role back every single number andno they dont all spin freely. I say just swap the two from the clusters. And o yeah, I havent dont this just incase anyone asks... :pimp:

Its only illegal if you try to sell it saying that it has less miles then it really has. Say that it originally had 150,000miles on it and you roled it back to 75,000. Then you try to sell it for more money becuase it has less miles. From what I understand it is legal as long as you keep records and dont sell it without telling.

As mentioned they have a locking mechanism, if you roll it back, it will break.
I believe you can swap the speedos....

ya never know....

many insur claims on totalled cars go off mileage as a value point.

now unless you got hella mods, like lets say lilgtr...where the insur company is going to various magazines, suppliers and gettin the prices of everything off the car or thoughts from editors of mags for its value...then it may be a good idea!!
