I'm redoing my doors and need so help. How do you put on the new fabric w/o getting wrinkles all in it (, cause I keep getting wrinkles). And what should you use to get it to stick? I tried an all purpose adhesive but it doesn't work to well. Any tips.

do what I did.. I bought new door panels and said screw it. Mine looke dgreat, till the heat got it. The glue came loose and wrinkles/air bubbles galore.

My door panels are fine but I want blue or white in it. but if it screws up that bad I might just leavfe it alone all together and just have my seats done.

for the fabric you need to buy some that is stretchable the wrinkles will come out and smoothen if its stretchable. I used that 3M super 33spray, it works alright, the only thing i have a problem with is the edges i have to get something that goes in the crevases but for the most part its looks good

I tried two different kinds of vynil fabric and it didn't work...Contact cement wouldn't hold... it looked ok but not perfect... I wouldn't do it again... beside it's whats under the hood thats counts...<BR>i aslo had to get new door panels at a junkyard...<P>Good Luck ...

From what I'm reading it's a hard procedure. I'd buy some spare panels to f--- around with and if you mess up, oh well. Especially from a junkyard they couldn't be that expensive. As for adheasive. What is wrong with old fashioned Elmers Glue-All? Spread a thin coat and thst should do the job. (I dunno what kinda material the panel is, but if it's solid, and not a porous fabric, the glue-all should work fine) Or do what I am contimplating. I may put painted fiberglass inserts in. Give it a shiny look. Just my thoughts. Good luck my man.

Im having the same probs barry was as far as the bubbles.. so i bought new door panels from Mason and i'm just going back to the original color. Shops were trying to charge me 250 + cost of vinyl and frankily, thats a waste of money. As for the adhesive the 3M product is good. The only problem with elmers is its thick and you may be able to see through the vinyl. It would take alot more work if you didnt use a spray adhesive.
