Squeaky sound when shifting

For the past couple weeks I have been getting a squeaky sound coming from the shifter everytime I move it. I was wondering what I need to do to fix it because it's getting annoying. I'm geussing something needs to be lubed up maybe?

Also my clutch pedal sometimes makes a squeaky sound when you push it in. But that doesn't really matter because you can only hear it if the car is off and you are listening for it.

Thanks!

Is that hard to do/costly?

Also, by searching through the forum I have found this topic:
http://www.mx-3.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=000903

Which talks about taking off the console and boot and spraying greese into it to fix the problem. Would that work?

Try to remove the bolt under the car that holds the shifter, and lubricate it. That solved the same problem that I had.

Thanks, I'll try that on the weekend and post the results.
