swapped kl03....oil light......

I am still running the stock ecu, if that clarifies anything. But I just finished swapping in a kl03 and the car runs like a champ, but the oil light stays lit.... It's got oil (full) and it's getting oil pressure - or else it would have went kaput on me while driving around the block...

Is it staying on because of the ecu thinking nothings there? When it is?

make sure the oil light sender is plugged in on the oil filter assembly

There is "A wire" plugged in...... it is a black plug on it. I had two white plugs male and female that I couldn't find where they went (they fit together though). But yeah, it is plugged in....i am hoping it's plugged into the right place........now I'm worried.......

Hey John same thing happened to me. Do this...pull the sending unit off of the k8 and pull the sending unit off the klde. You will notice the klde sending unit port is waaaay smaller than the k8's. Just put in your k8 sending unit. Problem solved.

Hi,

yes, the oil pressure switch from the 2.5 is
diffrent to the one from the K8.
Changing them should fix your problem
(i changed the instrument cluster, installed a
PGT one, looks better :-) )
The two white plugs belong to the A/C- Compressor.

i haven't tried switching them yet. I've got a 2.5 ecu......shouldn't that fix it too?? I was going to put the ecu in as soon as I got a replacement TB and an intake...... which should be this weekend. It's not going anywhere until then....just sits in the garage and waits...patiently

Changing the ECU does not turn off the oil-light,
the signal from the pressure switch goes straight
to the instrument cluster, not to the ECU...

You will need a KLDE VAF as well as the ECU.
