so i put my 2.5 intake manifold on and now the car wont idle, it'll crank and it will run so long as i keep my foot all the way on the floor or far down. Im pritty sure its a vacume leak or i hooked the vacume lines up wrong. but it will crank and then instantly die.

any suggestions?

that happened to me when i rebuilt my engine, my problem was some mixed up vacuum lines(egr lines in particular) chances are thats your problem as well

either your vaccum lines are mixed up or you have an open area where maybe a line might connected but didn't, that happened to me but my problem was the line off the manifold to the brake master cylinder

not an egr problem i dont have egr so that can rule out any of those vacum problems. we think there is a problem with the actual IM so were gonna pop the 1.8 on there tonight and see what that does for me

to make sure your vacuum are ok..use this thread where i post 2 links on how to hook them...

Are you using pheno spacers? what did you use between your IM and heads (gaskets, sealant?)

Did you use the TB of the 2.5 too?..maybe the tps or the idle control screw isn't set right?..

yea we based everything vacum line wise off those links and patricks klze engine every thing is hooked up right, i dont have pheno spacers and my gaskets arnt even a month old so we're not sure what the problem is. as for the tb i tried using the 1.8 and the 2.0 neither would work, so im not sure whats going on at all, were gonna swap back tonight to the 1.8 since it was running with that IM and we will see whats up
