Oil light

When I turn or brake a little harder than normal the oil light flashes on. At first I thought it was just when i took corners pretty fast, but then I noticed it does it when driving normal too. It has never done that before and I have driven it a lot harder than I have been lately. Why is the light coming on? I havent checked the oil level yet, it could just be low.

Yup, most likely 2 or 2+ qts. low.
