Head Gasket ?

Would the head gasket be the reason my car dies? I havent fixed my head gasket yet but when i do and it still dies i am going to be pissed.

Its will run for a while put once you put it under load it will sputter out and eventually just die. I can cut it off and then turn it back on but it will die again.

sounds like it could be a air leak somewhere in the vacum system , hear any whistling sound at idle?
